Sept. 22 – An innovative use of sustainable and low-temperature geothermal sources integrated with other renewable energy sources for electricity production is possible. And this is what GeoSEE intends to prove. The project partners, which include the Department of Land and Agro-Forestry of the University of Padua, are meeting today and tomorrow in Križevci and Koprivnica, Croatia, for their final meeting. The object of the meeting will be to update and coordinate with the different partners the progress of the last phases of the project. The project has completed the construction of WebGis, a mapping instrument for low-enthalpy geothermal sources in South-Eastern Europe. The analysis focuses on the environmental benefits produced by the use of geothermal energy in real case studies. Finally, the project also developed a common methodology to achieve strategic market penetration.
