Washington – The Minister of Health, Beatrice Lorenzin, begins a two-day high-level meetings in Washington. Today she will attend the meeting at the White House, with the participation of President Barack Obama, on “Global Health Security Agenda” (GHSA). The initiative was launched last February by 29 nations in partnership with the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the European Union “to accelerate the progress toward a free and safe world from the threat of infectious diseases and to promote global health as a priority.”(9Colonne)
