(Oct. 3) It is the manifesto of Virgilio Sieni, one of the most important contemporary choreographers, director of the Dance section of the Venice Biennale. “Solo Goldberg Improvisation” will be staged in Moscow on October 10. The event, at the “Na Strastnom” Theater is organized in collaboration with the Theatre Union of the Russian Federation and the Italian Cultural Institute in Moscow. “This show – says the presentation of the IIC – is the emblem of Sieni’s research on the body and on the languages of dance and art, always outstretched to cross the landing and the formal codification.” “There is no path in the ‘Goldberg Variations’ – explains Sieni – At the same time I use the term improvisation to define this work not based on improvisation but on the recognition and renewal.”(Red)
