Chicago – Nov. 2-5, the United States hosts one of the most important fairs dedicated to the packaging and processing industries. This year it takes place in Chicago (while on even years it’s always held in Las Vegas). This edition sees the ICE Agency organize Italy’s participation, in collaboration with the Ucima association. The group will occupy two distinct areas in a total of about 200 square meters, within which will be located 19 individual spaces. For 2014, the organizers of the event estimated to welcome over 45 million visitors, of which at least 5000 from outside the US. In 2013, total imports for the sector in the US amounted to $1.9 billion, for a 6.8% increase compared to 2012. Italy, the second largest exporter to the US market after Germany, exported a total of $332,7 million (€240.2 million) for a share of 17.2%. (9Colonne)
