Nov. 5 – Paolo Conte is expected in Munich for a concert on Sunday evening at the Gasteig Philharmonie alongside an excellent jazz band. Conte will perform his historical pieces as well as songs from his new album, “Snob”. The Latin American atmospheres from the 1950s, the echoes of crepuscular chansons, and jazz are present in this new album, which features 15 songs that alternate irresistible rhythms to delicate atmospheres, always enriched by sometimes playful, sometimes melancholic but always elegant lyrics, Paolo Conte’s trademark. The singer-songwriter, born in Asti 77 years ago, has always obtained the favorable opinion of both the public and critics. His distinguishing marks his hoarse voice, a face with deep wrinkles, a kazoo and an original way of playing the piano, alternating jazz and tango, the Latin sounds and songwriting. His music and lyrics are the work of a true poet, romantic and melancholic, simple but never dull. The concert is organized by Bell’Arte Konzertdirektion Dr. Schreyer GmbH in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture. (red)
