Dakar – The new entente technique between Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci) and Senegal’s Ministry of Economy, Finance and Planning was signed today in Dakar. The new agreement focuses on the financing of the “Support project for female education and women’s empowerment for local development inclusive” (Paef Plus). The project, worth €4 millions, renews Italy’s commitment for the promotion of female education in Senegal. The initiative is based on an approach that seeks to achieve gender equality through school access and studies’ completion for female children and adolescents. Paef Plus also aims to create literacy opportunities for women. (9Colonne)
