New York – Two skyscrapers in New York, on the occasion of the UN Day Against Violence Against Women, will turn orange, thanks to a partnership between the United Nations and Benetton. The global initative is curated by Fabrica, a communication research center funded by the Benetton Group, established in 1994 by Luciano Benetton and photographer Oliviero Toscani. According to the Italian company, this new campaign “marks the beginning of a new phase of social activity for us, one that could be defined as a transition from ‘social awareness’ to ‘social engagement.’ This is our first attempt to concretely and positively influence reality.” (9Colonne)
