Algiers – Algeria and Tunisia are sending their economic operators to Reggio Emilia for two days of one-on-one meetings with several companies Reggio that produce agricultural machinery and equipment for the food processing industry. The initiative, organized by the local Chamber of Commerce, aims to strengthen the trade exchange of Reggio Emilia’s economy, which already amounts to €104 million. In 2013 exports to Algeria increased by 52.6%, with the agricultural machinery sector driving this growth, with an increase in exports of 125.7%. The sector now represents one-fifth of all Reggio exports to Algeria. Exports to Tunisia remained stable, amounting to a little over €53 million, with agricultural mechanics still in the lead, with a share of 30%. (9Colonne)
