Tunis – From Carosone’s irony to De Gregori’s political egnagement, passing by De André’s lyrics and those of Sinatra, Caparezza, Rino Gaetano, Dalla, Fossati and many others, Eugenio Marino has chosen music to tell the story of Italian emigration. His book, “Andarsene Sognando. Emigration in Italian song” (Cosimo Iannone editoru) is a historical reconstruction of Italy in the last 150 years through songs that left a mark in our collective imagination. Marino is the national head of the Democratic Party’s Italiani nel Mondo branch, and specifically deals with emigration. He will present his book in Tunis on January 24, 2015. (9Colonne)
