Jan. 13 – “Interior and Food Design” is an exhibition that the Italian Cultural Institute in Cologne will host Jan. 19-25, inaugurating it on Monday (at 7pm) in the presence of Professor Andrea Dichiara, industrial designer and curator of the exhibition. The exhibition presents objects from the famous Guzzini Foodesign collection, the first manufacturer in the world and market leader of plastic products for consumer and food preservation. While some items will be displayed in their original function, others have been assembled to compose new furnishings. The exhibition emphasizes, therefore, the link between art and design in the concept creative phase of industrial products as well as the role art plays in the recycling at the end of their original use, when industrial products take on a new life and value as works of art.
