Jan. 23 – The Children’s Hospital Bambin Gesù in Rome is becoming increasingly international and avant-garde; a fact confirmed by the latest recognition from the United States. The hospital of the Holy See was accredited from the American Heart Association (AHA), the main and oldest American Scientific Society operating in the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases. The Bambin Gesù has officially become an International Training Centre of the US institution, which still plays a key role in reducing deaths due to cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary basic and advanced resuscitation training, for the benefit of both children of adults. With this accreditation, the Italian hospital’s training offer – already very intense in the field of pediatric resuscitation – will grow over the next two years with new AHA-certified BLS (Basic Life Support) courses, dedicated to those who assist pediatric patients, their carers and chronically ill patients.
