Brussels – The High Representative for Foreign Policy of the EU, Federica Mogherini, meets today with NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg. For January 29, Mogherini also called for an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, “following the attack in Mariupol and the escalation of violence in Donbas.” The High Representative is in contact with EU President Donald Tusk, the Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, with the United States and other international partners, including the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, with whom she spoke on the phone, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
