Gorazdevac – Yesterday, a representative of the Multinational Battle Group West, the international unit under Italian command deployed in western Kosovo within the KFOR mission, met with school children from the village of Gorazdevac. The meeting was part of the initiative “Take a break with KFOR soldiers,” created to promote the meeting and exchange among the local youth and MNBG-W soldiers. The initiative, which saw the full consent of school and local community representatives, took place on the day of Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and patron saint of education and medicine. For the festivities, the children performed traditional songs in the presence of Italian, Austrian, Slovenian and Moldovan soldiers, and then shared a moment of relaxation during which food and toys, offered by the Civil Protection of Bassa Romagna and the Comprehensive Institute 3° SORA, were distributed.
