Feb. 2 – From Glasgow to Los Angeles: the Italian masterpieces arrive in the United States. “Botticelli, Titian, and Beyond: Masterpieces of Italian Painting from Glasgow Museums” is an exhibition that opens on February 8, at the Santa Barbara Museum of Arts in Los Angeles. It’s a journey through five centuries of the most beautiful Italian paintings, from the Middle Ages to the Impressionists. The paintings are all permanent pieces at the Glasgow Museums, and include masterpieces from Bellini, Botticelli, Titian and many other. They will be on display in the American city until March 3. The event is organized by the American Federation of Arts and Glasgow Museums in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Washington and the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles.
