Feb. 13 – Massimiliano Finazzer Flory brings back to life Leonardo da Vinci in Japan. On February 16 the show “Essere Leonardo da Vinci” makes its debut in Tokyo. After the capital, the tour will go on stage at the “Nohgakudo” in Fukuoka, “5 / R Hall & Gallery” in Nagoya, in Kyoto and Osaka at the Daimaru Theatre. Leonardo da Vinci is very popular in Japan, and the Tokyo performance at the Auditorium U. Agnelli is expected to register a sold out. The format of the show is unprecedented: a Japanese musician interviews Leonardo da Vinci, played by Finazzer Flory. In 52 questions, Leonardo describes himself as a scientist, an inventor, a painter, and a philosopher who first discovered the sense of nature and its relationship with art. It is the first time you meet in a single text the best thoughts of Leonardo on his idea of culture that moves from the experience. Before the interview, Finazzer Flory, as director of the show, gives an introduction to Leonardo via a contemporary ballet dance. The show is in two languages with surtitles in Japanese. “Leonardo is is the symbol of the synthesis between art, science and design; in each of the three dimensions, he recognized nature as a guide and a model. Leonardo understood very well that in the end, nature and the origin of life would remain a mystery,” comments Finazzer Flory. The tour will head to the US in March and April, and will station in Milan for the six months of Expo (from May to October), at the National Museum of Science and Technology. (Red)
