New York – After the meeting with the four Italian NBA players, FIP president Gianni Petrucci and the coach of the national basketball team Simone Pianigiani declare themselves satisfied of their short visit to New York. Andrea Bargnani, Marco Belinelli, Gigi Datome and Danilo Gallinari will be part of the national team that will compete next summer in EuroBasket 2015. “We came to the US to talk to the guys and see if they were willing to join the Italian team next summer. We found four athletes, excited and ready to play.” Pianigiani commented on the trip: “they were intense and profitable days, during which we were able to establish direct contact with our four NBA players.” (9Colonne)
