Beirut – The Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Giuseppe Morabito, recently received the UNDP Country Representative, Luca Renda, the UNICEF Representative in Lebanon, Annamaria Laurini, and the acting Regional Director of the ILO for Arab countries, Frank Hagemann. During the discussions, the UN and ILO officials presented the programs implemented by the three UN agencies thanks to the Italian contribution of €2.5 million. The occasion saw the speakers confirm and reaffirm international support for Lebanon’s efforts on behalf of refugees, internally displaced persons and host communities, in the general context of the Syrian crisis.
