Smederevo – The mayor of Smederevo, Jasna Avramovic, announced that the Italian manufacturer of steel structures, Cimolai, will begin its production in April. Activities will be carried out at the rented premises belonging to the Serbian car producer from Smederevo Zelvoz, as reported by the Beta Agency. Last December, the Italian company signed an agreement for the lease of one of the production halls until the conclusion of the Zelvoz privatization process. Under the deal, Cimolai should hire 450 workers, 350 of whom will be former Zelvoz employees. The company will modernize the production plant, with an investment of around €10 million over five years. (9Colonne)
