Mar. 27 – To learn more about Silvio Camboni’s world of comic, on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30pm, the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute of the Canadian city is organizing a meeting in French. The artist is in Montreal for the 28th edition of the Festival de la Bande Dessinée Francophone, which takes place in Quebec April 8-12. Architect and journalist, Camboni began his career in comics in his early twenties, working with Disney as a screenwriter for Mickey Mouse and other comics. Over the years, Camboni has worked with various French editors, such as Les Humanoids Associés and Dupuis, also working sporadically as an illustrator (for Geronimo Stilton), a sports reporter (for La Gaggetta dello Sport) and on radio (La Gaggetta Show). Camboni, a versatile and passionate artist able to work and excel in different activities, seems to live by the motto: “If you can imagine it, you can do it … or at least you can draw it!”. (Red)
