Apr. 14 – The Consortium Piedmont Land of Perfection makes its debut in Japan with a group of companies from Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. The Consortium is scheduled to present in Tokyo Piedmont wines in two events: tomorrow there will be an evening with the Japanese press at the Italian restaurant Gliese. The vice president of the Consortium Andrea Ferrero will present to reporters Piedmont wines, its DOCG offer and the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato territories that received the Unesco World Heritage Site recognition. On Thursday, Happo-En hosts a wine tasting addressed to buyers, distributors, restaurateurs, wine experts. “The event in Japan – comments Giorgio Bosticco, president of Piedmont Land of Perfection – is another project shared by leading wine consortia from Piedmont in order to make the most of our territorial potential. This is precisely the role of Piedmont Land: a team optimizing available resources with synergies and shared projects to efficiently address in a comprehensive way the challenges of globalization. Today Piedmont represents 6% of the national wine production and exports 20% of the total (1 billion): this data allows us understand the important work done by our producers to make our wines known in the world and in seeking new market spaces.” (Cle)
