Apr. 16 – The Milan Expo isn’t only about Italy and so its promotional activity takes Expo around the world thanks to ENIT – the National Tourism Agency, the diplomatic and consular network, and the Italian Cultural Institutes. In Japan, ENIT created a brand new leaflet which will be presented at the Kanku Tabihaku Tourism Fair in Osaka, scheduled for May 23-24 next at Kansai International Airport. The initiative will be replicated during the Italian Merchandise Weeks, that also take place in May on Japanese territory. The calendar also includes initiatives at the Tokyo International Book Fair (July 1-4) and at the Italian Cultural Institute, as well as seminars at the Embassy of Italy, from April to May, with events dedicated to selected journalists. But Expo 2015 also turns into a live and viral event, thanks to 6 bloggers, selected by ENIT, that between May and June will tweet and facebook live their experience of the great event. Japan is one of the countries presenting its food model as an example of sustainable and healthy cuisine with its own Pavilion at Expo. In 2014, the Janapese coming to Italy generated an expense of €735 million, thanks to 433 000 travelers, as reported by the Bank of Italy. (Red)
