Apr. 27 – Ascoli Piceno is in Senegal to help in the internationalization process of its companies. The Dakar mission organized by Piceno Promozione, the special agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Ascoli Piceno, wants to build development opportunities for local companies in various sectors, starting from the nautical one. “The meetings – said the president of Piceno Promozione, Rolando Rosetti – with institutions and association representatives of strategic interest for our businesses will hopefully bring to positive results very soon.” Rosetti has already met the Chief of Staff of the Navy Admiral, Cheikh Bara Cissokho, at the military base in the port of Dakar, for a preventive civil and military control project on the coast. Rosetti also met with the president of Propeller of The US, Amadi Sy, for agricultural and rural development; and with the president of Assidem (an association of fishery importers, distributors of equipment and materials), Ababacar Ngom, in order to prepare a new mission in favor of Ascoli Piceno companies in the construction, agriculture and fisheries sectors. “Our goal – said the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Ascoli Piceno, Gino Sabatini – is to open, within six months, a representative office in Senegal, on the same lines as the one opened in Tunisia which serves all our initiatives in the Maghreb. In this case, we are counting on the fact that the new office will be the driving force for the development of trade relations not only in Senegal but more generally in West Africa.” (Cle)
