Hanoi – According to economic data released by the Internationalization Observatory of Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, exports of regional products to Vietnam increased by 27% in 2013 compared to 2012, for a total value of €121 million, involving 270 companies, with a high incidence (48%) of mechanical engineering. With 90 million inhabitants and an increasing purchasing power, Vietnam is an ideal platform as a final destination market, and as a regional hub for commercial expansion in South-East Asia. In particular, the province of Binh Duong signed two cooperation agreements with Unioncamere and the Emilia-Romagna Region. The province is the area with the highest growth rate in the country, and features one of Vietnam’s most important industrial parks, which will soon feature an area of 100-300 hectares for the establishment of Italian companies benefiting from significant tax breaks. A Vietnamese delegation from Binh Duong is in Emilia-Romagna to illustrate the available opportunities to institutions, companies and associations. (9Colonne)
