Tirana – The Minister of Economic Development signed the decree for a single authorization of the Albania-Italy interconnection pipeline “Trans Adriatic Pipeline” (or TAP). The decree allows for works to begin on the opening of a new gas supply route from the Caspian to Italy and Europe. The measure enables the construction and operation of the infrastructure, and replaces any other formal act of agreement provided by other administrations involved in the procedure, approving the project and declaring its public utility. The decree specifies that work should begin by 16 May 2016, and be completed by 31 December 2020. (9Colonne)
