Asmara – A bracelet that goes on the arm, at the MUAC (Mid-Upper Arm Circumference), and serves to assess the degree of malnutrition among children between 6 months and 5 years of age, by measuring the circumference of the arm. In Eritrea, the Italian Mission Bambini Foundation wants to realize the project “Green bracelets” and save 428 children from malnutrition: red bracelets (indicators of severe acute malnutrition) turn green when the child is no longer malnourished. To support the project, there is no need to donate money, but rather go on www.braccialettiverdi.it and vote online under the “Nutri-amo il futuro 2015” sponsored by Mediolanum Foundation Onlus. The project is supported by Mission Bambini, Aleimar Onlus of Melzo (MI) and Gruppo Missioni Africa Onlus from Montagnana (PD). Voting is open until June 16. (9colonne)
