Moscow – During the Congress of the European Society for Soil Conservation (ESSC), which took place last week in Moscow for six days of plenary and parallel sessions and a fieldtrip, more than 200 participants representing 18 European countries decided to renew the Board of Directors of the ESSC. In the process, the current president, Carmelo Dazzi, has been confirmed in the same role for the 2016/2020 period. “As I have done in the first term – says Dazzi – I will work to maintain and strengthen scientific and cultural collaboration relations between the ESSC and the University of Palermo.” The ESSC is a scientific, interdisciplinary, non-political association with over 500 members from 42 countries. Its members include researchers, teachers, students, planners and administrators with specific interests in the field of soil science, planning and land management, the environment and its preservation and conservation.
