June 12 – Both from the Academy of Brera, but different in their artistic journeys and for the themes and techniques chosen: Lucilla Restelli (“Indizi di rime imperfette”) and Pietro Moroni (“Forme e colori”) star in the first double solo exhibition of the Italian Cultural Institute in Cologne. The opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 18 at 7pm, but the exhibition will remain open until August 26. The curator, Giovanni Cerri, chose to juxtapose Moroni’s Michelangelo-like passions and mannerisms to the chromatic and informal dynamism promoted by Restelli. By highlighting the contrast and the apparent, familiar and hidden similarities, the less obvious aspects of the two artists’ research, a testimony to the different realizations of Italy’s rich and fertile contemporary art scene.
