Ljubljana – After Italy, comes Europe. The basketball teams of the University of Bologna won a double gold medal – male and female – at the National University Championships, held a few weeks ago in Salsomaggiore. The two teams are now preparing for Slovenia, where they will compete in the European Universities Basketball Championships. The dream is always the same: improve the historic third place (the highest ranking of an Italian university in the competition) received in Poznan, Poland, back in 2010. On Wednesday, June 17, at 11am, the Dean of the University of Bologna, Ivano Dionigi, will meet the basketball players in Palazzo Poggi to show the entire university’s support. (9Colonne)
