Paris – “Education. A manifesto” by artist Michelangelo Pistoletto is the focus of a conference scheduled for tonight starring the same artist and French sociologist Michel Maffesoli at the Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard in Paris. The two will debate a new concept of education, and in particular of art as an initiation vehicle in the postmodern period. In the past years, Pistoletto has developed, in Biella, a creative arts center for young generation of artists based on a ‘holistic’ approach, according to which art, culture, and spirituality are in a state of constant interaction.
