June 25, 2015 – Honey, meats, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, olive oil, wine, preserves and herbal products: the best of Italian flavors and tradition are taking over Bratislava. Since yesterday, and until June 28, the historical center of Slovakia will host “Italian Market” to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the typical Italian flavors and tastes. The event – as stated on the website of the Italian Cultural Institute of the city – is an opportunity to evoke the typical marketplace that for centuries characterized the Italian squares. Within an area of about 400 square meters, several manufacturers and dealers will offer visitors the chance to taste and buy various local products, giving them the opportunity to learn, enjoy and cherish the best of the Italian agricultural production. Italian market is sponsored by the Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, and received the patronage of the Mayor of Bratislava – Stare Mesto, Radoslav Števčík. (Red)
