14 July, 2015 – Eni has been confirmed for the ninth consecutive year in the FTSE4Good index (www.ftse.com), one of the most prestigious global stock market indices for assessing corporate social responsibility. This year, for the first time, a new method of assessment was used, applied directly by FTSE. “Eni – explained the group in a note – entered the index in 2007, confirming its excellence in the field of environmental sustainability, human rights, corporate governance and transparency, relations with stakeholders and local communities.” These parameters were analyzed by a special independent committee of the FTSE Group, the mother company of the FTSE4Good, which selected the companies to be included in the index. “This important result – continues the note – endorses the attention that Eni devotes to sustainable development and the responsible management of its activities, promoting social and environmental development in the communities in which it operates.” The FTSE Group, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange, is one of the most important companies for the creation and management of indices, widely recognized by the international financial community and utilized by the main stock exchanges worldwide.
