Istanbul – Finmeccanica announced that it has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its new AW169 helicopter. The certification will now allow the delivery of the first machines to the many customers around the world who have chosen the most modern helicopter in its class on the market today. To date, more than 150 orders have already been made for commercial applications (corporate and offshore transport) and public utilities (search and rescue and police operations). The countries that have already chosen the AW169 are: Italy, the UK, the USA, Spain, Turkey, Canada, Brazil, Japan, China, Russia, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. (9Colonne)
