London – New research from the University of Palermo has been published in the international journal “Scientific Reports” of the Nature Publishing Group, carried out in collaboration between Chiara Bonaviri and Paola Gianguzza, researchers in the Department of Earth and Sea Sciences, and the research group of CNR-IAMC, Institute for Coastal Marine Environment of Castellammare del Golfo led by Dr. Fabio Badalamenti. The research, conducted in the “Ustica” Marine Protected Area, described for the first time a cooperative behavior between a starfish (Marthasterias glacialis) and a fish (Thalassoma pavo).
