28 July, 2015 – A new cooperation project between Italy and Egypt in the Oil and Gas field has been launched. The announcement was made by Technip Italy and Sac,e who recently finalized an agreement with Midor (Middle East Oil Refinery). The goal is to modernize and expand the Midor refinery near Alexandria, in the context of a long-standing cooperation between the Italian and Egyptian governments and companies. The investment, of a total estimated value of $1.4 billion, wants to improve the production quality of the plant, considered the most advanced in Africa, increasing its refining capacity from 100,000 to 160,000 barrels of oil per day.
