18 August, 2015 – The eghth round of the exhibition “Ten nights of Italian cinema” at the Auditorium of the University of Arts in Tirana continues tomorrow night (at 9pm) with the documentary “9 X 10 Novanta” of the Istituto Luce-Cinecittà (Italy 2014, Marco Bonfanti, Sara Fgaier, Branko Schmidt, Alina Marazzi, Pietro Marcello, Giovanni Piperno, Constance Quatriglio, Paola Randi, Alice Rohrwacher, Roland Sejko). In 2014, the Istituto Luce turned 90 years old: a long history that has accompanied Italian cinema and that is celebrated today with unique images from the archive. Ten directors were invited to create a small film, each with 10 minutes of images from the Archive, selected from the thousands of hours of footage. The result is an album with different narratives. There are the story and the diary, the fantastoruband poetry, the words of great writers alongside the voices of ordinary people, with real and historical characters, as well as those of pure fiction. The exhibition “Ten nights of Italian cinema” is organized by the Italian Institute of Culture of the Albanian capital and DocuTIFF, in collaboration with Cinecittà Luce, Adriapol, Eurolab, Aperol, Peroni, Mapo, Digitalb and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of Albania. The screening will be preceded by a short film by Altin Çelmata, a student at the University of Arts.
