Belgrade – Italy meets the call of the Serbian authorities to address the major influx of refugees from the Middle East on their way to Northern Europe. The Italian Cooperation has thus requested emergency funding for €100.000 in favor of the Serbian Red Cross to develop outreach activities. The Italian contribution – channeled through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva – allows to provide health care and distribution of medicines and food for the most vulnerable groups of refugees hosted in the main welcome centers.
