3 September, 2015 – China has always been an inexhaustible source of opportunities for Italian companies in virtually every industry: from fashion to food. And as opportunities are multiplying, thanks to a project by Unimpresa, which has entered into a series of agreements with institutions in the province of Hainan, a set of islands in southeast China considered the Hawaii of the East. The project aims to promote the internationalization of micro, small and medium-sized Italian companies who wish to sell, via local operators, their products made in Italy to the millions of tourists that visit the archipelago. This opens significant business opportunities for Italian SMEs, their production and sales levels, and the country’s overall employment opportunities. Considering only the initial supply for shopping centers, it is estimated a €10 million turnover for Italian companies involved in the initiative, in terms of new orders. But this figure is destined to grow and increase as exports soar.
