September 15th, 2015 – The Finmeccanica Group confirms its attention to environmental factors, and for the sixth consecutive year makes it into the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World and Europe. These select the more virtuous companies in terms of sustainability, and admission to the indexes is achieved by a dynamic methodology, based on continuous improvement: this measures the competitive response of the analyzed companies with regard to new sustainability trends and stakeholder demands, taking into account the progress made over the previous year. The strict criteria for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) processes are updated annually to reflect emerging challenges in terms of sustainability, for which companies are held accountable and that are crucial to their long-term success. “Finmeccanica’s presence in the sustainability indices since 2010 – said the company in a statement – is an international recognition of our Group’s commitment towards a continuous improvement of ESG processes and our ability to make ours the highest best practices in the business.” “We are very satisfied with the result which is aligned to the targets set by the five-year business plan and confirms Finmeccanica’s capability to effectively respond to the global challenges and to the highest standards of responsible management – explained Mauro Moretti, CEO and Director General of the Group – This is a prestigious recognition for Finmeccanica’s ability to integrate sustainability in products, systems, technologies, industrial processes, business practices, and especially in corporate culture.
