Dubai – On October 30, Dubai launches the first Arab fashion week organized by the Arab Fashion Council, of which the Italian Mario Boselli – former head of the Italian Fashion Chamber – is Honorary President. “The competition is no longer between individual countries, but – says Boselli – between different regions: a PanEuroMediterranean area in which to produce at lower costs and sell products in markets like the United Arab Emirates, means creating an economic system with two sides, each with suppliers and customers, something that right now can be advantageous both to Italy and southern Europe.” On the Emirati runway, which will remain until November 2, there will be Arab designers, showcasing their creations to international guests.
