Istanbul – The new Compact Sedan Fiat is almost here – with a historical name for a sedan presented in May, at the Auto Show Istanbul, as the first chapter of the “Fiat Aegea” project. The car will be marketed in Italy starting in December and progressively in other countries of the EMEA regions (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) under one name: Tipo. A common name to half the world, with the exception of Turkey, where the name of the project was so successful that Fiat decided to keep the same name for the car. Fiat Tipo aspires to be the global model of a global brand: designed in Italy by the Centro Stile FCA, developed in Turkey together with Tofas R & D, and produced at the Tofas plant in Bursa.
