Asuncion – The Italian Embassy in Paraguay, with the support of Laboratorios ETICOS and the support of the Municipality of Asunción and the Teatro Municipal Ignacio A. Pane, presents to the public the show “La Traviata”, which will be staged by Artemis Danza on October 24 at the Teatro Municipal of Asunción. The show is part of the program of the first Art Biennial of Asunción (BIA), on going for the whole month of October in the Paraguayan capital. “La Traviata” is the first chapter of an ambitious and innovative dance project dedicated to the work of Giuseppe Verdi, entitled “Corpo a corpo Verdi”, with music by Luca Vianini and choreography, technical direction, lighting and costumes by Monica Casadei, Director of the company. The Verdi project (2011-2013) is in co-production with the Verdi Festival of Parma, the Teatro Comunale of Ferrara, the Theatre of Suresnes Jean Vilar in Paris, and includes two shows “Traviata” and “Rigoletto”.
