Los Angeles – Calogero Vetro, researcher in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Palermo, was listed in “Highly Cited Researchers 2015,” a list compiled by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) – Thomson Reuters. The list includes researchers who have excelled, worldwide, and are authors of many articles positioned in the first percentile among the most cited articles in their own field of research for the year of publication. In mathematics, only two other Italians are part of this list. The list is a measure of impact for one’s research and is used in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Academic Ranking of World Universities – ARWU). (9Colonne)
