October 26th, 2015 – As part of the initiatives organized for the Week of the Italian Language in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires presents on Wednesday, October 28 (at 6:30pm) a conference focusing on “Morandi and the intaglio”, edited by Fabio Fiorani and Ginevra Mariani of the Central Institute for Graphics of Rome. “The Central Institute for Graphics – reads a statement of the Italian Cultural Institute – has the entire collection of matrices made by Morandi, donated in time by Morandi himself and his family. In 1948 and 1990 two exhibitions were organized and now, 50 years after his death, the Central Institute for Graphics has created a catalog to remember this important legacy.” In their speech, the two curators will talk about this project, Morandi’s strong artistic personality and his passion for the engraving on metal.
