November 11th, 2015 – The Dutch labor market is very different from the Italian one; something all those who decided to move to the country of bicycles, windmills, tulips and above all happiness should know. Even though the Netherlands consistently rank among the happiest countries in the world, it is crucial for newcomers to learn how to approach everyday working life, so as to make the most of all the offered opportunities. Wanting to formalize suggestions and valuable advice to young Italian migrants, the Italian Foreign Committee in The Hague (Com.It.Es.) in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Amsterdam – with the patronage and support of the Italian Embassy in The Hague – decided to organize the event “Holland for beginners.” “For those who have just arrived in the Netherlands, those who move here after signing a work contract, or simply for those who come looking for any job, there are endless problems to which this meeting will seek to give ideas for concrete solutions” explain with a note the organizers. In essence, on November 20 the hall of the Italian Cultural Amsterdam (Keizersgracht 564) from 7.30pm to 9.30pm hosts an information evening in two sessions (offering the chance to ask questions and debate possible solutions) to cover general topics relating to the “what to do, where, how and when” aspects and detail. Specifically, it will provide participants tips on how to create a résumé and how to approach the labor market. The event will see the participation of Com.It.Es. members and the Honorary Consul of Amsterdam Roberto De Falco. (Red)
