Moscow – Despite the political tensions of recent months and trade measures, Italy remains in first place among the countries exporting wine to Russia, with over 21 million liters of wine sold and almost 8 million liters of bubbles in the first six months of this year. Vinitaly Russia, scheduled for November 16 in Moscow, is well known in the Russian capital as the most important B2B event dedicated to Italian wine. Last year’s edition saw nearly 1,600 visitors in a single day, all professionals in the industry (importers, distributors, HoReCa, opinion leaders and journalists), not only Russia’s largest cities (Moscow and St. Petersburg) but also from other regions. Last year’s Italian producers reached a new record: 300 brands representing 1700 wines from all Italian regions. For Vinitaly Russia, Vinitaly International organizes various activities to promote direct meetings between professionals in the wine industry and to improve knowledge of Italian wine abroad, simplifying the language and unifying the international image. Among these, Vinitaly Russia includes a Walk Around Tasting B2B and private tastings, as well as an Executive Seminar of the Vinitaly International Wine Academy, during which Ian D’Agata, international expert on Italian wine, will present the wines he selected.
