Beirut – AEFI continues to work for the internationalization of the Italian trade fair system. The Association signed a few days ago a new agreement with LECA, the Lebanese Exhibitions & Conferences Association. LECA is the only association in Lebanon representing the organizers, suppliers and venues of the MICE industry. “Internationalization remains a cornerstone of AEFI’s strategy, because it represents an important lever for growth in our sector and for our companies – said Ettore Riello, President of AEFI – Lebanon offers a great opportunity for our exports, as trade between the two countries is already significant. With exports at $667 million in the first six months of 2015, and a share of 7.4%, Italy confirms its second place after China among Lebanon’s main business partners. But there is still room for improvement. With this agreement, AEFI will step up trade promotion activities, and will offer to small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to find the right partner for growth.” The signing of the agreement represents another major achievement for AEFI in support of the national exhibition system, completed through constant dialogue with the institutions.
