December 1st, 2015 – ‘”Rebirth” is a solo exhibition by Ligurian artist Davide Puma, which will be inaugurated Saturday, December 5 (and will remain open until December 18) at the Italian Cultural Institute in Osaka. Promoted by the Institute and Marsiglione Arts Gallery (Mag), the exhibition has the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Osaka, of the Luigi Russolo Association and the support of the TOMO Gallery in Kyoto. Rebirth is the last in a series of exhibitions and events organized this autumn by the Italian Cultural Institute and Mag. Part of the festival Dim-Osaka Music & Cinema 2015 and in line with the theme of the joy of living that music gives us, Davide Puma created 20 works dedicated to portraits of animals with human expressions. The main piece is “When you are born you can no longer hide,” a tribute to the Grand Master of world culture Leonardo da Vinci, directly inspired by the Tavola Doria, The Battle of Anghiari, which until May 29, 2016 is on display in Japan.
