December 2nd, 2015 – “Men walking” is a show that until Saturday, December 19 will be on display in the exhibition hall of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo. Art, design and comic book fans shouldn’t lose the opportunity to learn about the works of two designers of world fame: Igort (aka Igor Tuveri) and Jiro Taniguchi. For the first time, the two showcase their creations together. Characterized by a very personal style, Igort and Jiro Taniguchi met in the 1990s and since then have established a fruitful relationship based on mutual respect. In this exhibition, there are works in which each sees the other’s country: Igort’s stays in Japan are the theme of his latest work ” Japanese Notebooks “, while Taniguchi drew a travel book dedicated to Venice. This is the axis upon which the exhibition is based, a show that wants to examine the route taken by these two great artists. Promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute, the exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Bureau des Copyrights Français, Fusosha Publishing Inc., Kodansha Ltd., Louis Vuitton Malletier, Shogakukan Inc., and Shueisha Inc.
