Tehran – Yesterday the Arezzo company CEG Elettronica Industriale SpA completed its business mission to Iran that had begun on 28 November, led by Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Charles Calenda. The delegation was composed of 178 Italian companies, 20 business associations, and 12 banking groups for a total of 370 participants. The goal was to identify, examine and strengthen the prospects for commercial cooperation between Iran and Italy as the sanctions are rolled back. The mission focused on the main strategic sectors of Iran’s economy (environment, energy and renewables, mechanical and medical equipment, building and automotive materials) that are expected to boost the country’s economic growth in the coming years. Within weeks of the civilian nuclear agreements signed in Vienna, the road is once again clear for Western companies and CEG Elettronica Industriale SpA, led by Uberto Canaccini, is a strong candidate.
