December 8th, 2015 – China’s Wuhan City has become the first “Commercity” for micro, small and medium-sized Italian companies. The new shopping center dedicated to wholesale purchases for local retailers dedicates an area of 800 square meters to products made in Italy, with a possibility to expand in the national e-commerce industry. This is a turning point both for the Chinese market, which will open its borders to highly controlled products that will receive a certificate of quality, and for the opportunities that open up for Italian companies thanks to a permanent showcase in a customs free zone, with huge economic benefits. The new trading platform was created by Unimpresa and the Sinotrans Group, the logistics company owned by the Chinese State. The first Chinese “Commercity” for Italian products will be presented tomorrow in Wuhan (in the Hubei province), a city with more than 9 million people, while the exhibition area will be operational starting February to coincide with the Chinese New Year . The presentation is part of a mission of Unimpresa in China that will end on December 16. The second stage, after Wuhan, takes place in the province of Hainan, where the Italian company will present various initiatives in the field of agriculture, after years of dialogue and important agreements already established with local institutions.
